Advertisement Posted January 6, 2018 Posted January 6, 2018 Hi Milan_S, Take a look here Vintage portraits with the Leica Thambar. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
earleygallery Posted January 6, 2018 Share #2 Posted January 6, 2018 Lovely image but you appear to have focussed on the sleeve rather than the eyes.
Wonzo Posted January 7, 2018 Share #3 Posted January 7, 2018 Lovely image but you appear to have focussed on the sleeve rather than the eyes. Does this matter ? Look at the picture as a whole, in my eyes it‘s perfect ! It‘s the best portrait I‘ve ever seen shot with the Thambar up to now ! Congratulations, Milan !

earleygallery Posted January 8, 2018 Share #9 Posted January 8, 2018 Does this matter ? Look at the picture as a whole, in my eyes it‘s perfect ! It‘s the best portrait I‘ve ever seen shot with the Thambar up to now ! Congratulations, Milan ! I think it does yes. I'm naturally drawn away from the face to the in focus areas. I would perhaps use the blur tool to make it more uniformly soft then it will matter less. The 2nd image is nicer.
StS Posted January 8, 2018 Share #10 Posted January 8, 2018 The series is excellent and I can see, why people go for the Thambar. Sorry, just personal taste, I have the feeling this is not the lens for me. Stefan
StS Posted January 8, 2018 Share #11 Posted January 8, 2018 ...may I ask, whether the third picture was taken wide open, while the first two were stopped down a bit? Stefan
