This is a beautiful image, made perfect by the lighting at the edges of the mansard roofs which would have been lost to the dark sky. Bravo.

This place has a huge pavement area named the "water mirror" with a special mechanism that inject water in the middle of each tile and captures it at the edges of the surface , in order to build a wide flat mirror.

 

Of course, in winter, the whole mechanism is shut down. But the rain provided a rather effective replacement.
