MarkP Posted January 3, 2018 Share #21 Posted January 3, 2018 Advertisement (gone after registration) Thats what we thought initially but no, and other film in the same tank was unaffected. It was indeed the emulsion and Cinestill accepted this to be the case. TYPO - no other film in the tank was affected.
Advertisement Posted January 3, 2018 Posted January 3, 2018 Hi MarkP, Take a look here CineStill film in Brooklyn and NYC.. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
sblitz Posted January 6, 2018 Share #22 Posted January 6, 2018 Now here is the same photo taken at the same time with Ektar. compare-2.jpg For me, reliability is paramount and after being burned dozens of times I have given up with the film all together. To each his own and best of luck and wishing only great results. (I am not bitter ) I agree completely about the reliability issue -- especially with film. i have a couple of old roles in my fridge, will shoot eventually but not for anything I consider important
Martin B Posted January 16, 2018 Share #23 Posted January 16, 2018 Regarding development of the Cinestill films - I read elsewhere that it is not recommended to develop the films on your own with C-41 since one layer of the film first has to be first removed by a professional lab? Or were the original photos in this post directly made with C-41 without any change to the film?
Activatedfx Posted January 16, 2018 Author Share #24 Posted January 16, 2018 The photos in the 1st post were processed normally. CineStill is movie film that has had the RemJet layer removed so it can be processed in normal C-41 at home or by any color lab.
