keithlaban.co.uk Posted December 26, 2017 Share #1 Posted December 26, 2017 Advertisement (gone after registration) Hello all, I'm having a problem using Visible Dust Vswabs in combination with their Sensor Clean and VDust Plus fluids on my M240. Looks as though the fluid is leaving steaks and tiny bubbles on the sensor. I'm wondering if Eclipse Fluid would remove these marks and which swabs I can use in combination with the Eclipse Fluid. Any help would be gratefully received.
Advertisement Posted December 26, 2017 Posted December 26, 2017 Hi keithlaban.co.uk, Take a look here Eclipse sensor cleaning fluid. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
jdlaing Posted December 26, 2017 Share #2 Posted December 26, 2017 I use Visible Dust V-Swab 1.0 or Sensor Swab BX12 Type 3. Both are equally good with Eclipse.

sblutter Posted December 29, 2017 Share #4 Posted December 29, 2017 Bubbles: too much liquid, need very little. Yes it evaporates very quickly Streaks: dirty swab or camera grease. Try again from another angle, changing the swab every time. Considering how expensive the camera is, don't go cheap there!
keithlaban.co.uk Posted December 29, 2017 Author Share #5 Posted December 29, 2017 I change the swab for every pass. Never had a problem until I used the Visible dust cleaning fluids. Eclipse worked very well, streaks and bubbles gone.
jdlaing Posted December 29, 2017 Share #6 Posted December 29, 2017 I switched to Eclpise for that same reason. I think Visible Dust breaks down over time. Eclipse a better value by quantity too.
jaapv Posted December 30, 2017 Share #7 Posted December 30, 2017 Advertisement (gone after registration) I had trouble with Eclipse starting to leave hard (very) to remove white residue after some years. I blame the plastic of the bottle. The softening agents of the plastic might have been leached out by the Eclipse.
keithlaban.co.uk Posted December 30, 2017 Author Share #8 Posted December 30, 2017 Jaap, thanks, I'll replace the Eclipse with a new bottle every year.
