jdfloresjr Posted January 29, 2018 Share #101 Posted January 29, 2018 Advertisement (gone after registration) After working my ass off for fifty years I found myself ready to go back to photography and finally able to afford a Leica. In all of 2016 I shot with my M 240 and found fulfillment. In 2017 I moved up to an SL and found excitement. This year I decided to be a minimalist and am shooting with an M10. This early in the year, with the M10, I found stillness, I feel centered, and, open to all possibilities. Since the very beginning I have used only two lenses, a Summilux 35mm and a Noctilux.

fcracer Posted February 1, 2018 Share #102 Posted February 1, 2018 Starting your M experience is like learning how to drive a manual transmission car. It’s hopelessly frustrating and embarrassing at first, but when it clicks, it’s magical. I nearly sold my M10 after the first trip because the images were out of focus and everything I managed to get in focus was center compositions (come on, don’t laugh because you know you did the same when you picked up your first rangefinder!). Now I have something like 5,000 images on it and I’m really loving the experience. I do however hope that leica finds a way to replicate the Fuji hybrid viewfinder for the M11 so that this can be my only camera.
