mmanda Posted December 23, 2017 Share #22 Posted December 23, 2017 ONA The Crosby arrived. It’s the same size as The Bowery but able to zip up the main pocket and also one on the front. https://flic.kr/p/D8sUug
mmanda Posted December 23, 2017 Share #23 Posted December 23, 2017 (edited) Here's the embedded pic! Couldn't edit my other post. I'm hoping the 55 - 135 TL will fit in it. That will be my next lens i think. wlaidlaw Posted December 23, 2017 Share #24 Posted December 23, 2017 Slightly related - hopefully someone will soon bring out a nice recover for the CL. I think the cheap looking faintly textured rubber is horrible and provides little in the way of grip. It looks like something cut from Marigold washing up gloves. It would be so much nicer looking with either Vulkanit or even better, pebble textured black leather. Wilson
Jared Posted December 23, 2017 Share #25 Posted December 23, 2017 Looking for a good travel bag for my CL, will also carry the T lens 35mm 1.4, the 18-56 and thinking also the M 50mm f/2 and the adapter of course. Want the bag to be a thin as possible. Preferably fairly waterproof but doesn't need to survive a downpour as I just wouldn't go out. Would welcome any suggestions. I see B and H has some Oberworth bags but wonder if there is anything not so wide and obvious as being a camera bag. Billingham Hadley Small. Nearly a perfect bag for what you are describing. No loud Velcro or buckles. Waterproof (to a good degree). Thinner than most so it’s snug against the body. Attractive. Just large enough that it doesn’t look like a man purse (well, not MUCH like a man purse). Well assembled. And inexpensive by Leica bag standards. LeicaGuy2014 Posted December 24, 2017 Share #27 Posted December 24, 2017 Advertisement (gone after registration) I'm using a Peak Sling 5, though when it's just the camera and the 23mm lens, there's plenty of room for other items.
LocalHero1953 Posted December 24, 2017 Author Share #28 Posted December 24, 2017 (edited) I've been out walking with the CL+ 18 & 60 in a Fogg b-laika slung across the body, with the bag at my back. The main problem is that all four (i.e. including the bag) are so light there's a chance it could bounce off my shoulder. Fortunately the Fogg shoulder pad is fairly grippy. Alistairm Posted March 2, 2018 Share #29 Posted March 2, 2018 I've started to come to terms with the Peak Design Everyday 20L backpack. At first I disliked it and thought the internal origami style dividers were largely hopeless. After using it for a while, I have come to realise that they provide incredible flexibility in packing, without having to take time to reconfigure the bag. Today I'm driving into the country for a daughter's tennis, and will have half a day to wander around before watching the games and shooting a bit of them. I don't plan to walk far, but was able to very quickly and easily pack the bag with the SL with 24-90 attached, CL with 90-280 attached, 75 Cron and there is plenty of space up top for soft items (eg hat), and I didn't need to remove anything from the side pouches (batteries, notebook, pen, lenspen etc). I have also thrown the laptop in and I can even fit the MA with 50 APO attached into the soft part at the back of the laptop section and it all closes! Overpacked? Yes. Versatile and very easy to adapt to any number of situations... definitely ticks that box. Welcome, dear visitor! Mark Pope Posted March 11, 2018 Share #32 Posted March 11, 2018 I have the Billingham bag for Leica ( I think it's an S series) which is perfect for a CL, kit lens and a couple of other lenses. The front pocket is just right for some Lee filters and spare batteries.

Sure I can take he hood off. But I like the idea of quick storage into the bag if in a hurry.
eraydinc Posted March 16, 2018 Share #35 Posted March 16, 2018 (edited) Very nice bags.I am using my Prada bag for very long time. Rainproof, black, not touristic style and does not look like a camera bag. (I don't want to look like a paparazzi on streets [emoji3]I added protector to base in my bag. tritentrue Posted September 7, 2018 Share #39 Posted September 7, 2018 As I often must move about in a densely-populated urban area, any camera hanging to one side of my body is subject to being whacked by briefcases, strollers, shopping carts, purses, or whatever else people hurrying past might be conveying. Earlier this year I asked a friend who is both a leather artisan and a photographer to make a couple of leather harnesses (one in tan leather, the other in black) for me in a style somewhat like the Optech bino/cam harness. Unlike some of the popular leather harnesses, this one centers the camera in front of me, in my case at about belly height. The length is adjustable by buckles that face to the rear. The loops give me several options for securing the harness to the camera. For most situations, I have the loops fastened to a Black Rapid FastenR, which is screwed into either the camera's tripod socket or the tripod foot of an R-Adapter-M. However, the CL's grip, which has no tripod socket, must be removed in order to use this fastening method if I'm not using an R-mount lens. And I much prefer using the CL with the grip attached. Having previously tried the CL with the supplied strap, I found that anything attached to the right strap lug interfered with my shutter finger. But both loops of the harness could be attached to a split O-ring in the left strap lug. For the CL, I decided to go for some style along with substance this time; so I asked my friend to do the harness in link style in red leather. Here's what he delivered to me earlier today: Welcome, dear visitor! As registered member you'd see an image here… Simply register for free here – We are always happy to welcome new members! There are small buckles in the rear so that links can be removed if necessary in case the strap stretches too much. Obviously this is not an option that would appeal to everyone, but for for my aging skeletal system, it is very comfortable.
 Simply register for free here – We are always happy to welcome new members! You can even use it without camera and without clothes in the 'bedroom situation'... Just kidding. If it works, it works. And Germans love leather harnesses.
