Chuck Albertson Posted November 28, 2017 Share #11 Posted November 28, 2017 Seems there's a bigger problem: https://www.cnet.com/news/apple-flaw-allows-macos-high-sierra-logins-without-passwords/
jaapv Posted November 29, 2017 Share #12 Posted November 29, 2017 The only problem I had upgrading to High Sierra was that it was a bit of a hassle to get my second screen to work. For the rest everything runs just fine, including Nik plugins.

plasticman Posted November 29, 2017 Share #14 Posted November 29, 2017 Problem? My login is root. Seriously, . Pico - you may think that's a good idea, but it's escalating privileges that can be a vulnerability unnecessarily. Take a look at this article on the matter: https://derflounder.wordpress.com/2016/07/26/macadmin-101-the-root-user-account/
Exodies Posted November 29, 2017 Share #15 Posted November 29, 2017 With a root login (and presumably a password) you avoid the present vulnerability.
