Extender-R 2x

To broaden the usage of my 90mm Elmarit-R I have been considering buying a 2x extender.  From what I have read the APO version gives considerably superior results to that of the original non-APO one (no surprises there!).  However, as I envisage that the combination of my 90mm + 2x will be quite limited and given the price difference I toyed with the idea of initially buying the non-APO and if I found usage was frequent enough on both R5 and M240, I could always later switch to the APO one.  Anyway yesterday I came a across a non-APO at a reputable dealer that had just been reduced to a mere £30 - so nothing ventured, nothing gained and it arrived earlier today.

Unfortunately the weather today has not been conducive to venturing forth so I have been limited to close-ups in a quick indoors test.  Two results, both hand-held at either 1/30th or 1/45th and at ISO 6400.  Hopefully I can make some landscape tests tomorrow...

Not the most wieldy of combinations, but plenty to get hold of!
