R135 f/2.8 + 2x APO Red Winged Blackbird

I assume that's colour fringing?  Is this a severe crop :-)?

Not especially severe. Taken with equivalent 400 mm at about 20 feet. I can't explain the fringing. It doesn't seem to appear on the jpeg before I uploaded it.

Have you tried importing the RAW file into another imaging processor like Capture One or GIMP etc to see if it is the image editor that causes it...

My favourite Ewe, Peggy and her lamb Sue taken with my favourite long lens on the CL the 180R.

I love Peggy's beautiful roman nose and she quite likes me giving it a scratch!

CL with M35 Summilux version ll, taking the high ground away from that pest of a dog...

Thanks. My dream lens, but I think I'll have to "settle" for the summicron version.

A couple of birds through my kitchen window, again CL 180R

Very well done and it looks like much fun.

Yet another rainy day spent watching the birds through my kitchen window.  Very young Jay, unusual for one of these to hang around long enough to get a shot.  CL with Canon 200m 2.8, can't believe I haven't tried this one before now.
