Plus, he gave birth to CNN. 🕺

And he is terminally ill from  Lewy Body Dementia. Foster good thoughts, and care when you can, for all so afflicted.

I know, I watched the interview with Ted Koppel. So sad !! I met him, casually, at The Lewistown Rodeo last Summer.

We went to the beach after Christmas and I was playing around with my CL + 34-155. I was trying to get a Pelican that kept flying away when I tried to get close but finally he landed and I had the lens at 155. I have the original here and the cropped in the next reply. I was really blown away with the sharpness I got handheld. This lens is a gem.

Bill, these are really nice shots. More specially the close up.

Thanks Louis. I know it is not what you usually take (beautiful women) but this might be a female Pelican. Of course I have not idea since I know little about birds.

Here is a crop of just Mr Pelican's head.

That is a useful crop. The halos show that you have sharpened for print, not for screen. ;)

Today was my first day out since before Xmas as I've had a houseful of visitors. This was my last shot of the day and of 2019. Under a flat, grey sky there were some beautiful colours hiding. Voigtlander 10mm f5.6.

Happy New Year to you all. May you be blessed with perfect light in 2019.
