Shadowy Pond

Same kit as above.

It's hard to believe that the shadows will continue to grow for two more weeks +/- .

Nice.  I find your monochrome interpretations a bit too low in contrast though.

I had to share with my forum friends this humorist painting that I saw yesterday in a Miami Art Basel. The American version of Henry the 8th!... ;)

CL + 50 mm, f/1.4 AI

Very nice photo.

But scarily surreal - though the reality seems well beyond surreal.

Vikas texted:

I find your monochrome interpretations a bit too low in contrast though. "

So, I opened my Film Style Menu on the CL and lo and behold there is a choice named BW HC High Contrast which I activated.Previously I had my Film Style set to STD, Standard.

Wow, what a difference. Thank you for the critique Vikas. I am a total amateur who if grateful for all the help I can get.

See the next three shots all taken with a Cl using a TL 35mm 1,4.....no polarizer.

Question: Why are all the DNGs in this series in color but the Jpegs are in B&W ?

...

Hi Albert, I'm an amateur myself, picking things up as I go along.  If you use a B&W present on the camera it will only affect the JPGs.  The DNG fils will always capture all the information from the sensor, including colour.  I prefer not to use the camera's presets but do the conversion in Lightroom (you should have a free license with your CL purchase).  I attache two B&W conversions using Lightroom's profiles.  The first one is 'Low Contrast' and the second one is 'Landscape'.
