CL - The Image Thread

Please tell me that I won’t have buyer’s remorse if I purchase the 15-135.

The only remorse you will have is from not having gotten one sooner!

Had planned all sorts today - but looking out the window is keeping me firmly indoors - Wet Wheels CL + 55-135

Albert, just had a look through my metadata in lightroom and as I suspected its a very close run thing between the 18-56 and the 55-135 for numbers of images taken - I consider both of the TL zooms to be just excellent.  I use the long zoom for landscape, portrait, flowers, everything, when my grandkids are playing outside it's usually my lens of choice so I can keep a reasonable distance and catch some candid action.    I would be very surprised if you had any regrets if you purchased it, but of course only you can decide if you have a need for another lens.

Nice picture though!

Can you tell me what the shutter speed was?  Last time I took pictures in the rain I just couldn't get the streaks of raindrop lengths right :-)

Incredible! Although it is the photographer who takes the picture, this lens is the next on my list. Not so soon, I fear!

It is 90% camera/lens combination, 10% the patient critter.  All this photographer does is push a button and marvel at the result!

Dragonfly portrait, cropped at just over 60%, about as close as I can get and still have enough DOF for a decent image, guessing maybe just inside 1:2 . . .

You are far too modest, although I agree concerning the camera-lens setup. The CL surprises me every day, especially with the Apo-Vario-Elmar 55-135. Edited by EUSe

I agree with what our friend Louis wrote in the T image thread, that "we should always include a picture in any post of a photography thread to not fill out pages only with chit chats."  I appreciate so much the images that members share on these pages.

CL with 55-135mm, f/5.6, 1/2000, AF-C, Field . . .

I had read some criticism of the CL's continuous AF, and some fast cars this morning gave me a chance to see for myself.  The vehicle in the photo was doing about 130mph when the shutter was clicked, and I had been tracking it from the green light. In all, critical focus was achieved with ten of ten shots.  With a little bit longer lens, BIF should be no problem . . .
