CL - The Image Thread

A beautiful, shot. What lens did you use?

Thanks for your appreciation. This was taken handheld using the 18-56. I have only had this camera for a couple of weeks and only have this one lens. In some ways this makes things simpler, along with the fact that it so portable. Really enjoying using it.

CL w 90-280

Tropical rains in south Florida for the last several days . . . this little guy has been getting pelted by the rain for a few hours and looking a bit forlorn.

a great capture, robo. thanks so much. what do you think caused the yellow transfer?

Thanks, bags27. The yellow transfer is actually some foliage/palm fronds that blurred. Perhaps a little more evident in this shot?

Thanks for these lovely captures, Rob

Do you ever compare photos taken with this lens by your CL and SL? Would be an interesting comparison (and I have some vested interest!).

Bags27: The CL files are excellent, but the SL images yield shallower depth of field and handle low light better. Of course, on the CL there is a 1.5x factor so that the 90-280 becomes 135-420.

wonderful capture, Louis. Do you happen to know the ISO? I don't see any noise.

Much appreciated; thanks a lot.

I think it was ISO 1600.

Not long ago, I moved from Windows to IMac and I am still completely lost. I can’t find any details about anything on Mac computer.

I love my iMac!  Are you storing photos in the Photos program?  If so, in the top right corner, look for the letter "i" with a circle around it. Click on your photo, click on that circle with the i, and your exif information will be there.
