TheCanadian1 Posted October 29, 2017 Share #1 Posted October 29, 2017 Advertisement (gone after registration) Hey everyone, I tend to be hard on my equipment as I tend to go out and enjoy using it. This had no impact on image quality or anything like that lol but I’m just wondering if these marks are my cause or if this is the way it is? Take a look beside the battery. There’s a similar mark on the other side I know I shouldn’t be looking at my camera under this detail...just wondering if these marks are my own doing lol Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Advertisement Posted October 29, 2017 Posted October 29, 2017 Hi TheCanadian1, Take a look here Bottom of Leica M10 is it supposed to look like this. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
CJJon Posted October 29, 2017 Share #2 Posted October 29, 2017 Just checked and my M10 is similar.
a.noctilux Posted October 29, 2017 Share #3 Posted October 29, 2017 Checked also, mine M10 is same as yours. Never seen that myself. For sake of curiosity, checked also on M240/262, nothing similar at same place on those.
jdlaing Posted October 29, 2017 Share #4 Posted October 29, 2017 Yes it’s supposed to look like that. Look closer.
mikemgb Posted October 29, 2017 Share #5 Posted October 29, 2017 That looks like an anti-tamper seal, the modern equivalent of the L seal, dismantling the camera will break that and immediately show Leica the camera has been opened by an unauthorized source.

farnz Posted October 30, 2017 Share #7 Posted October 30, 2017 Advertisement (gone after registration) Mine doesn't look like this - it's free from the marks that are showing on yours and doesn't have the sticker covering the allen keyhole. The burring around the hole in the seam on the second photo looks dubious to me and I'd wonder whether someone had tried to open it clumsily. Pete.
