Thanks Stuart! A sad footnote was that even though Hoover was the driving force behind the project, he wasn't even invited to the opening ceremony! Interestingly, history has a way of adding perspective over time; the Hoover Dam is today still regarded as one of the greatest man-made wonders of the world, it's a truly awesome sight to see.
