Best camera/shoulder bag for X Vario?

Wondering what the consensus is about a decent shoulder bag for use with X Vario with lens hood and EVF attached. Most bags I have seen are too tight to accommodate the viewfinder and I hate taking it on/off all the time. Any advice is appreciated

Ich verwende für meine X-Vario inkl. EVF eine kameratasche von "OBERWERTH" Modell "Bayreuth" in Leder. Die ausführung - Cordura/Leder - wäre möglichwerweise etwas flexibler. Meine in komplett Lederausführung ist aber trotzdem gut ausreichend um die X-Vario mit dauerhaft aufgestecktem EVF unterzubringen. Zum Innenmaß 18-14,5-7,5cm. Die Tiefe ist zwar mit 7,5cm angegeben, tatsächlich sind es aber 9,5cm, die ohne weiteres bis 10,5cm variabel nutzbar sind, so meine praktische gebrauchserfahrung. 

 

Falls Dir dieses Modell zu knapp erscheint gibt es als nächste Größe das Modell "Frankfurt". (Innenmaß 23-15-13)

I use a ThinkTank Mirrorless Mover 10.

Fits the X Vario perfectly.

Has lots of room for SD cards, batteries, lens wipes, etc.

Has a built-in plastic cover in case it rains.

I use a Billingham Hadley Small for my X type 113. Works a treat.

Another vote for the Hadley Small, but also suggest a Filson Small Field Bag with insert. Very rugged and roomy and a good fit for the XV.

I'm a convinced user of the Onabag Bowery. Plenty of space for my Vario and one or two point&shoots (e. g. Minilux, Ricoh GR1) and takes a beating.

Look at Samsonite Trekking DFV42. I am amazed it is still available and at a bargain price through Amazon UK. MY XV lives in it and is ready to shoot in seconds, with handgrip, EVF and lens hood fitted. Room also for extra travel bits. Mine came with a detachable video compartment which I have never used. It is strong and very well made.

+1 for the Filson small field bag with a Domke insert. For a very tidy carry (EVF inside but not attached) I also use the Billingham Stowaway Airline shoulder bag.
