Soheil Posted October 8, 2017 Share #1 Posted October 8, 2017 Advertisement (gone after registration) Hi, I am concerned about buying used lenses because I can not make sure about how the lens was stored against humidity and mildews. The lens you see in the pictures is a 10 years old lens which there are alot of these specks on its glass and the barrel. I'm wondering if you can detect those specks are mildews? Thank you in advance! Welcome, dear visitor! As registered member you'd see an image here… Simply register for free here – We are always happy to welcome new members! a.noctilux Posted October 8, 2017 Share #4 Posted October 8, 2017 If you mean colored reflexions, those are from the lamps reflexions from lens elements.
Soheil Posted October 8, 2017 Author Share #5 Posted October 8, 2017 Thank you for response, I mean the dusty specks on the lens. The lens had a cap and It was stored in its box. Do you think these are only normal dust specks? I'm not sure if it can get that much dust in the box.
mdemeyer Posted October 8, 2017 Share #6 Posted October 8, 2017 The dust specs look like just that. Do they blow off with a proper blower?

Just take a lens wipe and clean them off.
