I need help with this one. This was identified as a Tulip. Have I had too much sun.

Thanks HeinzX and drjonb. This is only one of several varieties I'd never seen, planted in beds that contained tulips that were immediately recognizable as such.   I will post some for you.

Very welcome.  The tulip I posted above was obtained from a UK wholesaler who, in turn, sources the bulbs from Holland.  According to their catalogue, it is a Double Headed (Peony Flowered) tulip, and the one shown above is a ‘Double Beauty of Apeldorn).
