Maybe better with some perspective adjustment. If you can delete the previous post. Sorry for this.

Jerry 👍

Very nice pictures of Paris life.

Good b&w nothing saying that these are converted from color sensor.

I'm curious which lens did you use on your M9 ?

...

edit:

seen now that in EXIF it's Noctilux 0.95/50 at f/11 in one pic

Arnaud,

As you found out in EXIF, it's Noctilux f/0.95, my default lens for 11 yrs.

M9 in-camera B&W is very addictive. It's the main reason that I have not thought about buying any new M since buying my M9 2nd-hand in 2011.

That said, the camera has lots of bugs. I'm on my 5th and 6th batteries and sensor was swapped in 2018. The camera now dies early in cold days. Not sure buying new batteries would help.

As much as I love it, I finally ordered a M10-R BP. I'll keep M9 for sure and expect to return to it every time I feel like going back to the old time. But I expect the much more reliable M10-R to be my main workhorse going forward.

I also shoot M-A + Summilux 28mm with Portra 160/400, BTW. I think for color photos nothing beat films.

I see that you're based in Montpellier. If you're ever in Paris, let me know. Let's go for a photo walk?

Jerry,

Thanks a lot for your inputs and offer.

I'm old lover of Paris in which I spent thousands of hours walking everywhere, when I was free to do so.

I was Parisian for forty years and while traveling a lot nowhere else can compete Paris, you know that I guess.

Yes film ( for me Kodachrome for decades ! ) is something which can not replicated by any other means.

Then M-A was a revelation for b&w 😉

Arnaud,

Glad to learn that we even have the same silver chrome M-A. I only shoot Summilux 28mm with it as the combo gives me the feeling of shooting movies (in film of course):

40 years in Paris was really wow. I've lived here for 10 years and as you say, though I travel a lot there's really no other city that can compare to Paris. I do enjoy shooting in Tokyo and Kyoto as well. Have you been there? If not I think you'll enjoy a lot:

I shall receive my M10-R BP in 12 days. A bit nervous as I haven't bought a new digital M for too long. Will share my thoughts.

Jerry
