I've been backing up my files today (to what I call the deep archive)!

Which means I've had a drive connected to my computer that has files on it I've not really looked at in while!

I found myself going through those original M9 shots, four years ago when I first got an M9 (which I still have) and for a while had only a cron 50 to accompany it (which I sold to fund a Lux upgrade)

The cron and the M9 produced images that still please me four years later!

I couldn't stay with just 50mm for ever, and after a while I added a 35 rit (and a 90 rit too - I still have both of these lens too)

================

Sorry for the rather pedestrian shuffle down my memory lane, not to mention perhaps three too many images in one day...

But I've enjoyed my back catalogue trip this afternoon, I'm reminded of the joy at my first Leica (digital or otherwise), my first serious use of a rangefinder (I'd snapped a few frames on a non-Leica film one that an ex had back in the day), but most of all I'm reminded of my joy at the colours and tones that the M9 gave me the first few times I saw them.

Cheers for indulging me!

From the same timeframe as the shots above

(M9P and Summarit 35)

The M9 doing what IMHO the M9 does best, nope not oversaturating blue and pushing orange towards red 😅, but making a picture that looks like you can just reach in and lift the subject out!! (doesn't happen on every shot obv!)
