reddot925 Posted September 26, 2017 Share #1 Posted September 26, 2017 Advertisement (gone after registration) Hi all, Does anyone know the the standard length of an M10 neck strap in centimetres? More specifically in term used when ordering from third party strap makers, like most would give you options 90cm, 100cm, 120cm, etc? On a related note, looking for similar strap to the M10, is black all the way but have red finishing just near both side of the lugs, any suggestion please? adan Posted September 26, 2017 Share #2 Posted September 26, 2017 I measure the soft leathery part of my factory M10 strap to be 109cm. 110cm if you count the radius of the strap attachment rings.
m2man Posted October 1, 2017 Share #3 Posted October 1, 2017 Like so? https://shop.deadcameras.com/home/19--slim-strap.html They are nice. 'Course I now use a wrist strap from Ono. Didn't notice their wrist straps before. hth
evikne Posted October 2, 2017 Share #4 Posted October 2, 2017 In the beginning I didn't like the standard neck strap. It was too long and too stiff. When I was holding the camera, the strap stood out to the sides. But after a while it got softer and better, and I now I think the length is perfect. Actually I love the strap. It is discreet and nice.
jaapv Posted October 2, 2017 Share #5 Posted October 2, 2017 Hi all, Does anyone know the the standard length of an M10 neck strap in centimetres? On a related note, looking for similar strap to the M10, is black all the way but have red finishing just near both side of the lugs, any suggestion please? It depends on two things: 1. The geometry (length, diameter) of the user 2. The way one carries the camera, hanging from the shoulder or bandolier-style. In other words, take your camera and a piece of string, try out which is most comfortable for you and measure the string.
adli Posted October 2, 2017 Share #6 Posted October 2, 2017 I wear my camera across the shoulder, bandolier style. The original strap is to short for this so I can't use it. Apart from that, I have no problems with the original strap, would have used it if it was 130cm.
