I see that this topic is gallery of the street photography?

I saw the shadow of communism at may 1 2019. Peoples with red flags, portraits of Karl Marx, Lenin and Stalin... Wow, back to 1930.

Scary and sad all at once - Marx said "their ends can be attained only by the forcible overthrow of all existing social conditions"

In a very real way, this seems to define "Leica photography".

Thank you very much. I like the challenge of shooting the streets with a 50mm lens at full aperture. And there's that timelessness of black and white photography with a bit of grit and grain. I have to give credit to the wonderful output of the M Monochrom mk1. Around 1600 - 2500 ISO is the sweet spot, I find.

Yes it is. Images welcome, but please no political topics.

Thanks, Andreas

I'm sorry I didn’t want you to see politics.
I see a man ~ 70y.o. He lived for 40 years in the Soviet Union. For 30 years this country does not exist. And today, like thirty years ago, he went to a "demonstration". He returned to his youth with flags and balloons. After 30-40 years, he believes in the ideals of the past. He lives in the past. And this is the tragedy of this man. It makes me sad. But this man is glad that he went to the "demonstration" and smiles. For this reason I said that it is a shadow.
There is no politics here, here is my sadness and bright red flags as a symbol of the past youth of this man an dmany other people.

If you see the policy, I can remove this photo.

The quintessential Colin T shot! Beautiful capture of available light, an intriguing subject and a gritty background/context. Keep them coming and there’s a case of Irn Bru in it 😉
