Great street photography samples in this thread! I agree, street photography is challenging - but when I am successful in taking the shot inconspicuously, the results are often not bad. Capturing the scene right in the blink of the moment is most critical and often some luck is involved in it.

Raising the camera when seeing the decisive moment is far too late, it's over by the time we get the chance to frame and click. The good street photographers pre-empt the action, they have a gut feel for what's about to happen (unfortunately I'm in the wrong part of the venn) . People watching can be good training.

Still on the subject of what we photograph on the streets, I'm putting together a small selection of my Leica work (film and digital)  in the form of framed prints. It'll be on display at the Brick Lane Gallery in London (8th - 20th November) as part of their PHOTOGRAPHY NOW exhibition, should anyone be in the vicinity. Slim chance I know, since we're all scattered around the world.

But anyway, I'll be there on the opening night (6pm - 8.30pm) and it would be great to meet any fellow photography/Leica enthusiasts. I've never exhibited outside of Glasgow, so I'm keen to see how non-Glaswegians react to my prints.
