This thread is suffering from overposting by a few members; I have hidden some posts. It is a an unwritten convention that we leave space for other participants. The reason is twofold: Overposting drowns out the other posts and, as important, if one floods a thread, the viewers lose interest and won't even look at those posts any more. Yeah, I saw his post and also wondered the same. Not that anyone owes us an explanation. Anyway, I'm now following him on IG.  

I'm not a huge fan of the way IG presents photos, but consider it a better sharing experience, especially with family and friends included. They're not likely to come here. Sharing photos only with other photographers has always seemed an odd proposition to me.

There was a fairly heated debate in the German forum (title : “nummer..”.). (Sorry still don’t know how to link a thread! 🙄)

I followed as best as Google translate allowed. It concerned the titling of his last posted image. I could not frankly understand the subtleties but I think there was some “to-ing and fro-ing” where things got intemperate (cf the Steven debacle)

FWIW I was very sad to see that he left the forum and told him so.

My personal view (posted in that thread) was that it was not possible to necessarily ascribe any particular intent to an image when set as part of a consistent set of images he had posted over a period of time which I felt illustrated a marginalised and “ignored” community in a dispassionate way. I think others disagreed.

To link to another thread or another website, open it in a new browser page, click on its address bar (like the one at the top of this page with https://www.l-camera-forum etc in it) make sure the entire address in the box is highlighted, copy it by right-clicking and choosing "Copy", click on the little 'chain' symbol at the top of this message box, paste the address in, close the chain's dialog box, and the link should appear in your message.  It will appear in red and be live after you post.

If you wish to relate the link to a word or words that will activate it, after you've copied the address out of the address bar, you can highlight words in your message before clicking the chain symbol and when you paste and close the chain's dialogue box the linked address will be masked by the word's you'd highlighted and those words will be in red when you post, with the link live behind them.
