A picture I took back in 1998, in Perpignan. I used my Leica M6, 35 Summicron v1 eight element, and Kodak Tri-X.

I don't own that camera or lens any more, but I wish I'd kept the lens. They seem to be worth their own weight in gold these days

I like very much edge composition (cf Saul Leiter, he sometimes had only a glimpse of his subject’s umbrella - we all know that one!) and here the crack running straight through her head. Love it!

Singer Jimmy Somerville, pictured at the Glasgow Pride festival in 1998.

Leica M6, 35 Summicron v1 eight element.

If you don't know Jimmy Somerville, he did this hauntingly beautiful song, back in 1984.

Wow, the Bronski Beat's Age of Consent and Smalltown Boy - that thwacked me back to the 80's momentarily. 🙂

Pete.

I think Smalltown Boy really stands the test of time. He wrote that from the heart, and it shows. Don't know Age of Consent, but will check it out..

Still there half the time TBH ...(DMs Music for the Masses currently playing  in the background here).
There’s a couple of similarly heartfelt but less well known tracks on “Read My Lips”

Sorry to derail - back to the photos!

There are exactly two books existing worldwide, both given away as a gift ( one to Wayne he's a member of the forum ) 😅
I have to admit It´s the  lack of courage and  time to manage it  seriously, but if I produce a "real"  book, I'll get in touch with you.

btw. Hartmut and Mario (are also active here in the forum) produce  a fine digital  magazine . Last year there was a little report about me (torsten gauls), there you will find some information about my work....( only in German language)    http://fotomaniker.de/2020/09/
