This thread is suffering from overposting by a few members; I have hidden some posts. It is a an unwritten convention that we leave space for other participants. The reason is twofold: Overposting drowns out the other posts and, as important, if one floods a thread, the viewers lose interest and won't even look at those posts any more. One of the three dry docks in Govan, Glasgow. Now flooded and abandoned. When the docks were built - in the 19th century - they could accommodate the largest ships in the world. They are formed of hand-carved grey granite. The workmanship, and the dereliction, are impressive in equal measure. The docks stand in mute testament to a time when Glasgow was a global industrial powerhouse.
