Hi,

 

I just bought Lumu light meter and now I'm testing it out. This is my first light meter ever, and I don't get it quite right. For example when I set color temperature in K on my camera as light meter suggest me, the picture is kinda green-ish, but I can't find that setting on my Leica SL. Is it something I should edit in post processing or am I missing something?

 

On the other page, ambient settings by light meter are overexposed when I set the camera. I read few light meter tutorials and watched few videos, but it seems quite simple, but it just don't looks great in my case.

You do not really need an external light meter with this camera, unless you want to use studio flashes, which Lumu won't do. Also, Lumu, despite its visual coolness, is not really something that I would rely upon compared to a reliable professional device from Gossen or Seconik.

 

If you still want to use one for whatever reason, the first thing that you should do is to calibrate with your camera. It means that you have to go through different exposure settings in the controlled environment and record the difference between what the light meter recommends and what your sensor wants. You can actually start with the Golden 16 rule, as it is reliable enough to calibrate both in-camera and handheld meters. Same with color temperature. Obviously, you should measure incident light, not reflected. If you need more explanation, just PM me, or ask here.
