I like the lens very much.

My only gripe is that it hunts to lock focus. If that could be improved it would be exceptional, as IQ is excellent, colors are terrific, it allows for close focusing, and I enjoy the AF as an option on the macro.

Good question. I have not tried it for very long, but I would say it similarly hunts.

Just gave it a quick try. No significant differences with hunting.

Very nice pictures! Allow me to add one as well, with the same combination, but TL2 - it took me forever to get any king of reasonable focus of grandma feeding the baby:

how does AF of the same lens behave on the SL ?

I tried it on the SL about a month ago, and the 60 was way faster on the SL for some reason...(under lowlight) under n0rmal light it performs the same, though.

I love the 60 macro on my T, and it will be even better on my new TL2.... Great lens for macro but also for portrait, animals, etc.
