John Z. Goriup Posted September 15, 2017 Share #1 Posted September 15, 2017 Advertisement (gone after registration) Two images of two Ferraris from different eras. The '60 250 SWB GT, just like the one I owned for a short time in the mid-'60s - a delightful, fun car to drive fast - accessible, predictable, comfortable & highly enjoyable. Back in the day, I feel it had no equals. SL / 24-90 V.E. JZG Welcome, dear visitor! Advertisement Posted September 15, 2017 Posted September 15, 2017 Hi John Z. Goriup, Take a look here Two Ferraris - one old & one new.. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
John Z. Goriup Posted September 15, 2017 Author Share #2 Posted September 15, 2017 ......The new one is the first 'Aperta' LaFerrari brought to the US, an open version of the latest Ferrari 'Supercar'. Both were displayed at the '17 Concours-on-the-Avenue in Carmel, CA during this year's Monterey Car week...........guess which one drew the bigger crowds by far. I find the new model thoroughly unattractive, way over the top, grotesquely overpriced, hugely uncomfortable, and even though it may be awsomely fast, it seems to appeal far more to Arab princes & billionaires with no driving ability nor experience, than to real car guys who buy cars for the joy they can extract from them. stuny Posted September 15, 2017 Share #5 Posted September 15, 2017 Lovely shots. I've always like nearly all the "250s," but not the Aperta. Ferrari put one up for auction a few days ago to raise money for charity (I forget which one) and raised US$10 million.
