Guest NEIL-D-WILLIAMS Posted September 8, 2017 Share #1 Posted September 8, 2017 Advertisement (gone after registration) Okay so I am Scottish. I have just bought a new Leica TL with the TL 35mm f1,4 Summerlux and EVF. With my 35mm Summerlux I have an equivalent DOF of 52mm. I also like shooting wide and was thinking/hoping that maybe I could use my Leica 21mm SEM (I love this lens) rather than spending any more dosh on another new lens...............Has anyone ever tried the 21mm SEM on a t or TL and if so how was it.............did it tick all the boxes for you with regards to IQ and FOV which I guess is 32.5 mm If not then which of the other two would you recommend 23mm or wide zoom?? Advertisement Posted September 8, 2017 Posted September 8, 2017 Hi Guest NEIL-D-WILLIAMS, Take a look here Leica TL 23mm or TL 11/23 or maybe/hopefully 21mm SEM. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
Starwolfy Posted September 8, 2017 Share #2 Posted September 8, 2017 If you like shooting wide then common sense is to buy the 11-23mm (I have 11-23mm, 35 summerlux, 55-200mm). 21mm SEM is a superb lens on FF but I don't see the point on APSC at 32mm F3.4. Hell yes..............Plus that SEM is an amazing lens, super sharp and very compact. I could imagine setting the focus to infidelity and at f8 and just shoot like its got AF Neil

IkarusJohn Posted September 8, 2017 Share #9 Posted September 8, 2017 Inifinity, Neil - that's the longest focus setting on your lens; infidelity is the longest setting on something else.

IkarusJohn Posted September 9, 2017 Share #12 Posted September 9, 2017 with a FF lens + Adapter, infinity on the T/TL wont be at the same position as infinity on a FF camera...i think ? The adapter sets the register distance exactly on the SL and TL2 as it is on an M camera, so all focusing is the same.
