platypus Posted August 23, 2017 Author Share #4 Posted August 23, 2017 (edited) Hi Dave, Thanks ....but not my kitchen, the little hut is my brother's accommodation for his summer hols on the Monaro. It began life around 1850 as a stockman's cottage. They were tough back then, it's basic weatherboard construction and uninsulated, impossible to heat adequately for a Monaro winter and yet generations of the same family lived in it for more than 100 years, without complaint. I walked over this morning to make sure the roof was still attached after the damaging wind we've had, must say I didn't notice the Queen in the kitchen, but if she's there it would be because my brother has a cynical sense of humour.
