Sandokan Posted October 8, 2017 Share #6 Posted October 8, 2017 Well, if the ladies will dress as Cleopatra, why not? Although, in reality, I do not believe she wore a top. For sure I will bring comfortable shoes. Anyone know of a bike hire scheme?

tonyniev Posted October 8, 2017 Share #11 Posted October 8, 2017 (edited) Can you join us? You'll be very welcome I would love to, I am flying in the morning from NYC, 650 am, picking up a car and was going to drive to Florence, but checking now on parking space near the restaurant, if I can find an easy parking, I have my luggages in the car for 3 weeks saty in Italy and Greece, I will join the lunch and shoot for two hours then drive up to Florence. Would you know if there is a good parking space near the restaurant? Thanks Edited October 8, 2017 by tonyniev

Sandokan Posted October 8, 2017 Share #13 Posted October 8, 2017 On Sunday, I was thinking of doing a bike tour. 6 hours on an e-bike (I guess there are quite a number of hills). The 6 hour guided tour of Appian Way and Aqueducts Park, looks interesting but a minimum of 2 people are needed to book it. https://www.partner.viator.com/en/4557/tours/Rome/6-hour-Bike-Tour-Appian-Way-and-Aqueducts-Park/d511-8325P4?SUBPUID= Anybody interested to join me, or one of the other tours? $95 each. http://www.reidsitaly.com/destinations/lazio/rome/planning/around_by_bike.html I did one back in Vienna and it was really good - it was just the tour guide and myself.

Falstaff Posted October 9, 2017 Share #16 Posted October 9, 2017 Folks, unfortunately I shall be unable to join you this year because of other commitments. Take lots of pictures and have fun. But above all, a safe trip there and back home.

erl Posted October 10, 2017 Share #19 Posted October 10, 2017 I'm envious of you all. I know you will have a fabulous time. The nearest I can get to contributing a picture is below. I have just had this 5cm pin removed from my finger about an hour ago. I shot a series (40+) pics of the op. This is the first of a series of procedures I am in for. The surgeon asked if I needed a distraction. I said I had my own and showed him my camera. He laughed, but it worked. I will be watching for all your posts, so "shoot straight you bastards" (apologies to Breaker Morant, aka Edward Woodward). I'm a tough critic, so only the best will do. Good light to you all.
