lct Posted August 21, 2017 Share #21 Posted August 21, 2017 Advertisement (gone after registration) No red logo on the M3 of course. Appeared for the first time on the M4-2 but could be removed easily then. See above. Couple of pics of HCB with his taped M6 i suspect but i'm not sure of that. Welcome, dear visitor! Advertisement Posted August 21, 2017 Posted August 21, 2017 Hi lct, Take a look here Covering the Leica logo!. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
prk60091 Posted August 21, 2017 Share #22 Posted August 21, 2017 ..and the problem is? If it is a problem, on your past experience sounds like the strap is the issue as that is the change. Certainly the strap brought attention to the kit... people saw and commented on the brand== (which is only obvious via the red dot) while i was at my lake place among many vacationers and weekenders -- decidedly upper middle class and was not threatened at all-- when i am in the city amongst many people - i generally do not want to draw attention to myself or my gear. . . keithlaban.co.uk Posted August 22, 2017 Share #23 Posted August 22, 2017 I've always covered branding on all my cameras. I make no exception for my Leicas.

Gibbo Posted August 22, 2017 Share #25 Posted August 22, 2017 (edited) Thieves only recognise words and logos and not shapes, perhaps??? With the words and logos covered up, who knows what those little boxes are Edited August 22, 2017 by Gibbo

keithlaban.co.uk Posted August 22, 2017 Share #27 Posted August 22, 2017 Advertisement (gone after registration) Would you be so kind and tell us why ? With the exception of a manufacturer supporting my work and putting money in my pocket I prefer not to be associated with a single brand. When working I'm not comfortable with branding on my cameras. When working I like to be as anonymous as possible.
SilentShutter Posted August 22, 2017 Share #28 Posted August 22, 2017 Makes sense to me......
Gibbo Posted August 22, 2017 Share #29 Posted August 22, 2017 This is true. I'm not gear orientated, I haven't a clue what most people are using unless I see branding. So, unless you can read the logo, you don't know that it's a camera?
keithlaban.co.uk Posted August 22, 2017 Share #30 Posted August 22, 2017 So, unless you can read the logo, you don't know that it's a camera? Yup.
Jeff S Posted August 22, 2017 Share #31 Posted August 22, 2017 Probably can't tell if someone is wearing shirt or pants without seeing branding. Jeff
