Skiathos Old Town

I came across this old lady sitting in a street in the Old Quarter of Skiathos. I took a picture of her and she waved her fist and me and threatened to hit me with her stick... I was reassured she was joking around. She then told me that she wanted a copy for her groom. She was lit here by a passing noted and gesturing angrily after it. d6bbc1d5d45d3414b2f9642194c5de46.jpg

Wonderful. I must begin to venture out after the sun sets.

I set the camera to iso 160 to avoid too much noise, shoot wide open then underexpose by a couple of stops to keep the shutter speed up. Having a strong source of light helps obviously (the headlight of the scooter). I got the advice from a forum member and it's been really useful.

Thanks Rori! Your trick of underexposing on the M9 has made a massive difference to how I shoot at night! The passing scooter was a happy accident too! I posted this picture on Twitter and someone on there knows her and is going to print a copy and give it to her, I hope she likes it!
