In some lighting conditions I can see all the frame lines in the view finder with or with out the lens. Leica service told me that this is a internal reflection in the range finder top deck. Its just that this is a new MP body, my much older second MP body does NOT have this problem.

Hello, I see that I have had 120 views to the problem with the bright line view finder but would any body like to make a comment?

It only takes a little touch of black paint inside the range finder VF and that solves the problem, so its back to Germany. Its a ten week turn around that's the problem. I some times think that Leica cameras are never production cameras but more like mass proto types always in need of a mod. Leica are snowed under with replacing M9 sensors !

Leica finds fault on frame mask and the mask carrier ! I am so unlucky with new MPs , so much for perfection ! The guarantee runs out in June next year and then I am in trouble :(

Hasselblad have reduced the price of the H6 system and the lens are cheaper than Leica! Looking in my camera bag at my 35fle, 50 summilux , 28 summicron, 21se, 75 and 90 apo's and two MP camera bodies and filters. A Hasselblad medium format is very close in my thinking? It may be time to sell my M system? Like all of you, I have spent thousands over time on my M but camera fault problems have followed me from day one in 2010 !

Let me make it clear to you Ko.Fe and your mate jaapv! I have had many problems with my Leica MPs. The Leica M was a camera of choice! Please Do Not try to be funny or make a joke out of it!!

But it kind of is funny. Kostya nearly pointed out that you're planning on dumping an unreliable but otherwise practical piece of equipment to buy something that might be more reliable, but is not as practical.

If the M is your camera of choice, then why would you want a Hassleblad H6? My car might break down, but like Kostya I'm not about to go and buy a helicopter. I'm just going to get my car fixed. I don't care how cheap the helicopter is, it doesn't help me when I need to go grocery shopping.

Digital camera is much more practical. Yet, my DSLR is much more practical to my digital M. While M is special in rendering and DSLR is nothing but automated grocery car.

Do I miss something? Instead of darkroom and scan or print, instead of all in focus, optical and with space behind bright line viewfinder, instead of slick body and more less small lenses, something bulky, with EVF (if I'm not mistaken) and huge and heavy digital files which will never looks like film, not like Leica rendering.

I have no idea why one next to unique film cameras could be replicated with absolutely special and very different digital camera. Rather than switching from one prestige label to another one.

Why not two FF DSLRs, which will works with Leica R lenses, if Leica reability and service is concern? Canonikons have proven reliability and effective service for years and now. But no prestige. What is Hasselblad now, rather than prestige label? Re-branded Fuji dMF? Nobody knows about these cameras reliability and support.  What is the point to jump from one legendary label with issues now, to another legendary label which nobody even knows how it is performing now.

Actually, my impression was what OP was trying to make it funny....

Not funny - bitter experience, it cost me quite some money.. :( Leica was slow in digital, so I moved to Canon at the turn of the century, selling off my R kit - including the Apo-Telyt 280/4.0 and most of my M gear. (Not all of it ;) ) Five years later the DMR and M8 came to the market...
