mikemgb Posted August 13, 2017 Share #1 Posted August 13, 2017 Advertisement (gone after registration) I went to a local landmark for lunch today, Bevo Mill was built by August A Busch, of Budweiser fame, as a stopping point halfway between his brewery and his home at Grant's farm. Since the place is within walking distance my wife and I are regulars in the restaurant. https://www.stlmag.com/dining/das-bevo-the-former-bevo-mill-opens-in%20south-city/ Today we were asked if we would like to tour the old tower that used to be the Busch family apartments. The building has fallen into disrepair over the years but the current owners are restoring it and will open a bed and breakfast in the tower in the future. Of course, we jumped at the chance, as naturally, all I had with me was my phone and my Sofort! The Sofort did very well, I have certainly learned to get the best out of this camera. The Mill The view from the apartment balcony The blades from the balcony The motor and gearbox that turn the blades. Since we were still there at 3 when they close after lunch they had my wife shut off the motor that runs the blades, she was thrilled.
 Simply register for free here – We are always happy to welcome new members! wda Posted August 14, 2017 Share #2 Posted August 14, 2017 The Sofort lends an old-fashioned air to your historic pictures Mike. The first samples I have seen from members.
