This piece of adhesive tempered glass is 60% cheaper than Leica's $25 screen film, fits the M10 LCD screen very nicely (even though it was designed for the Leica SL), and doesn't cause the shimmering and color noise that the screen film causes.  Indeed, it's just like having a $10 replaceable screen on your $7,000 M10

 

I'm not associated with the product in any way other than being a happy customer after being very unhappy with the Leica M10 screen film due to degradation of the image quality displayed on the LCD.  The only downside of the tempered glass compared with the screen film is that the latter is "glare resistant" but I've never found glare to be a problem on camera LCD screens-- usually it's easy to ignore, or to reposition my head or the camera to avoid the glare.  I certainly prefer a perfect image quality on my LCD screen to a glare-resistant film that makes it hard to see fine details.

Does this fit exactly on the LCD of the M10 ?

Just put one on this evening, replacing the Leica protector.  I'd say it's about 1.25 mm narrower and 1 mm less tall than the glass.  That, for me, is prefect - leaves me a little play to be less than absolutely perfect putting it on.  ;-)  It's the model for the SL which has the same size screen as the M10, I understand.

 

It's SUCH a difference to be able to see the screen again.  Despite those who say "I never use the screen to judge pictures", I do find it very useful to focus in Live View or post-shot for confirmation when not using the VisoFlex.  I found that impossible with the Leica screen protector.  Everything looked fuzzy 100% of the time because of the matt A/R surface on the Leica protector.  This one is crystal clear.

 

Absolutely highly recommended.

I ended up getting some through Expert Shield. Initially when I got them it was about 1.00 mm shorter on the top and bottom and about 1.50 mm short on the sides. They had reached out to me to ask how the screen protector was, and I told them about this, which they explained was to allow for adjusting/removal. They offered to send me another set at no cost that was slightly bigger. I took them up on the offer and the ones I got now are a perfect fit. Very happy with the quality of the screen protector and the customer service from Expert Shield.

I ended up getting the crystal clear protector, their original one. I'm not sure how it compares to the glass one, but its seems quite durable.

Even though the tempered glass piece I recommended is perhaps 1 mm smaller than the physical size of the M10's rear glass, note that the actual M10 display element (that is, the rectangle capable of actually showing an image) is much smaller than the tempered glass piece (and thus much smaller than the physical size of the M10's rear glass). So the glass will entirely cover the display, and then some. The nice thing about the tempered glass is that it is very scratch resistant... not to mention cheap enough that you can replace it for nominal cost.

What's the method for removing the tempered glass protector if I need to? I'm assuming the adhesive is stronger than the foil's and cannot just be peeled off easily.

It comes off fairly easily and leaves no residue. You just lift a corner gently with something thin like the plastic squeegee that comes with it.
