Keith (M) Posted August 7, 2017 Share #1 Posted August 7, 2017 Advertisement (gone after registration) Armed with my recently acquired R5, 35mm Elmarit-R III and a roll of Neopan I took a stroll around our local Country Park. As usual with b&w film, I had a yellow filter (in the case a B+W medium yellow) fitted. Bright sun out of frame fairly high to the left. The lens hood was extended but judging by this result, it is not long enough! Welcome, dear visitor! Advertisement Posted August 7, 2017 Posted August 7, 2017 Hi Keith (M), Take a look here 35mm Elmarit-R Flare (With Filter). I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
Hugh 38 Posted August 8, 2017 Share #2 Posted August 8, 2017 I have never used a filter with the Elmarit 35. I am unsure of the technical reasons but I wonder if the hood is designed to work on the front element of the lens , and if you put a filter on the front then the hood is not working properly , there s a glass surface too far forward . That is my idea , may be wrong.
