M10 and what other body do you own?

Thanks for the replies so far. But please also list why you carry these other bodies.

I carry my D750 to places where I need more weather sealing, like trekiing Inca Trail (although the moisture at the last morning cause camera lock and I couldnt shoot from sun gate!?!). I also carry it to places where I need Tele zooms, like safari in Kenya and to places where I need AF, like cultural dances etc. I carry it for landscape photo opportunities as it has better DR (for sunrise and set).

So when I carry my M10 (as I am new with Leica and not so fast with focusing) I use it more for walking in the cities where the action is more controlled and I can control DOF very easily.

In my other life I'm a guitar player and used to own too many as well. I went through GAS just as Gordon shows above.

In the end I found too much choice to be paralyzing to my happiness and ability to improve my song writing.

I ditched them all but my trusty J45 (acoustic) and Les Paul (electric) and have been happier ever since.

I bought the M10 and feel like it's an event every time I take photos now. It's not just picture taking. I suddenly felt the urge to expand. Get the SL, the Monochrom, a film camera, etc. I felt that enthralled.

I then remembered my guitar experience.

I think I will keep the M10 solo for a while and do what I can with it. If the limitations start to stack up and inhibit my happiness I'll think about buying another.

Thanks for the posts so far! What do the other cameras do for you that the M10 doesn't?

Kolari thin-filter stack modified Sony A7 as a backup body also with M lenses. Cambo Actus with A7 and M mount with appropriate lenses for architecture mostly. Fuji X-E2 with 18-55 as a lightweight, low-cost travel kit to hostile places.

I cannot use the M10 to shoot airshows, for one, I dont have the long lens and also AI autofocus to track fast subejcts. :-)

It's not GAS. I'm a working photographer. All my gear pays it's way. It all get used. That photo was taken when I was deciding what to keep and what to cull after some upgrades and changes. My preference has always been to have a variety of tools that are maybe a bit more specialised than a single jack of all trades approach.

The M10 doesn't support the following:

- tilt shift lenses.

- lenses longer than 135mm. Certainly not 300mm.

- Underwater photography.

- Drone photography.

- High speed sync.

- Long exposures.

- HSS off camera.

and it has mandatory LENR, which rules it out as a landscape camera for me.

Except for the Underwater and landscape stuff I use the other functions as part of my work.

I showed this to the wife to reassure her that I am not toooooo bad about my camera collection but she then asked "but how many camera bags does he have?". She always harps on the number of bags I have and not so much the number of cameras.

My other body for M10 companion would be M9M for now. I couldn't think a better pair than this combo .

28 cron and 50 apo in either bodies along with 35lux fle or 21sem..why? The M10 is the best color camera I can think of (size matter), M9M in the other hand is best digital BW camera for me.

Upon buying M10 have retained Sony A7RII and Sony RX100 mk3 compact.  Have no DSLR now having sold Canon 6D and 24-105 f/4L and 35mm f/1.4L

Kept Canon 50mm f/1.2 for the Sony via Metabones IV plus an E-mount Zeiss Batis 25mm f/2.  Have retained these for AF option and potentially video.

My migration to Leica started with 35mm Cron ASPH and Voigtlander 50mm f/1.2 Nokton as compact lenses on the A7RII.  It all kind of works.

the question ist posed the wrong way. it should ask:

"what other body DID you own?"

because since i have the M10, there is hardly any need for another camera. and so i only take the M10 and that's it. just the M2 is sitting on the shelf and waits for some work, when the battery of the M10 might be exhausted.

but i am not a Pro.
