So I did it - finally. Sometimes certain things got to be tried out. Got an incredibly good offer for an S2 just returned from Leica service, including one year warranty. Contax 645 and Hasselblad V adapter arrived - so I can revive my 2/80, 2.8/140 and some V lenses. Months to play with ... The S2's ISO behaviour is clearly M9ish, but with the 2/80 the situation is actually not too bad.

The Contax 645 adapter is flawless. Absolutely transparent.I almost cannot believe they have done this.  No Leica lens purchases planned so far.

Sometimes I wish I had kept my Zeiss glass, the combination of Zeiss lenses and Leica sensors are breathtaking.

Well - Zeiss can also mean some Hasselblad V lenses with a Fotodiox adapter. Some are reasonable in size, weight and cost. Just to auto aperture and no auto focus.

Considering prices of Contax 645 lenses on the used market, one should be hard pressed to look elsewhere. The price of the adapter is easily absorbed by buying any C645 lens instead of Leica's, including 2/80.
