S 006 images have slight magenta look

I noticed that many images taken with an S 006 had a "dull" look color-wise, and with a slight magenta tone. At least when I compare that to the images taken with the S 007. Is that normal? All settings are standard and the images are imported into Adobe Lightroom without further tweeking. Am attaching some images. Would anyone know if this is "regular"?

Check the profile you assign in LR when you import the files. That changes the look sometimes really noticeable.

Possible but even if I copy the images straight from the memory card and open them in a regular image viewing program, they show the same look. Very odd.

I always find my S006 to look a bit green... while indeed yours do look a bit magenta!

Have you ever discussed this with the Leica customer service and, if so, what did they say?

Is there a way they can perhaps recalibrate this?

I think that it is very difficult to make a meaningful broad comparison unless you were shooting a well controlled side by side test and then analysing. There are so many variables though both in the develop process and how the images are viewed too.

With viewing in particular so much hinges on your program and your media and your settings .
Regarding the remark that the images are dull though, perhaps you are referring to the more flat appearance by default from the DNG files? That's meant to be a starting point and affected by the broad dynamic range too. I have shot quite a bit almost all in studio with the S2, the Typ 006 (just a loan camera) and Typ 007.

In case it may be of interest, I use a medium contrast curve on import with all of the S cameras for studio lighting
My anecdotal impression is that the new sensor does have a different colour rendering as expected but that it isn't very noticeable or significant for me at least.

Suspect it is a sensor related issue but you need to do a careful study with a 006 and a 007 side by side with same lens...

In the end run, whatever you find is irrelevant as you will be creating a LR preset for each camera anyway.
