Ernest Posted August 14, 2017 Share #10 Posted August 14, 2017 Oh, my, how R21/23 speaks. The color fields create spatial depth. Your selection of telling details: the contrast of textures (nature's beach stones vs. man-made flat boards), the difference in scale (between beach huts and the city architecture in the distance). All under a brooding gray sky. Presence through absence. There is an imminent potential in the space. An unknown around the yellow corner. Yellow is the color of caution. Also, the color of frivolity? The eye is inevitably drawn to the spire in the distance. Escape from the city. (Technical: try for strict verticals as in the bicycle shot?)
