One of our neighborhood deer families visited this 102-degree afternoon. My wife tossed them tortillas and carrots from our upstairs livingroom window. I walked down to the front yard and concentrated on the two fawns, but didn't neglect mom. Five shots with FZ1000, using onboard flash for fill:

Thanks, Brent. We're used to heat, but  consecutive 100+-degree days this time in July is more than normal and makes us wonder what August will be like. I've seen it as hot as 118 in Austin, but that was in September during a heat wave that lasted only a few days about 10 years ago.
