Photographer duo reinvents Emil Busch’s 1910 Glaukar portrait lens on Kickstarter

I have no idea if this will be any good, but it certainly is pretty.  Interestingly enough they say it will be released in the Leica T mount.  I have a similar item in the Voigtlander Heliar Anniversary 50 mm f 2.0 lens.. also in brass.  Just gorgeous and a pleasure to use.

The defining goal would seem to be "homogenous transfer [transition] from sharpness to the more fuzzy areas." Sharpness at the center and pleasing bokeh in the out-of-focus area (a personal judgment) are preliminary. The crowning achievement is indeed a smooth transition from sharp to blurry.

I presume that with Kickstarter, you rely completely on trust - no legal obligation, no recourse no matter what happens. Am I wrong?
