fmiller Posted July 19, 2017 Share #1 Posted July 19, 2017 Advertisement (gone after registration) I'm VERY interested in getting a Q but would like to see what the EVF looks like. I can find photos all over the place of the LCD, but I've never been fond of composing that way. Would one of you be able to direct me to a photo of what you see through the eye level finder? Is it exactly the same as what's on the LCD? Thanks! f

matlep Posted July 19, 2017 Share #2 Posted July 19, 2017 Yes. Exactly the same as on the LCD.
etk Posted July 19, 2017 Share #3 Posted July 19, 2017 It's the same, but brighter so not a whole lot of use for chimping. As a framing tool though it's excellent. Best I've ever seen.
HighlandK Posted July 20, 2017 Share #4 Posted July 20, 2017 As someone who finds Monitor screens on the back quite impractical in daylight and who has been used to OVFs in DSLRs for too many years to remember I came to the Q's EVF with more than a degree of apprehension. I am also a glasses wearer. However I have had no difficulty whatsoever and am a convert to EVFs of this high quality. If your only concern about the Q is the quality of the EVF you need have no further hesitation. Moreover seeing a photograph of the EVF is not going to give a fair view of its capabilities.
