Question for 50 APO Owners

At f2, the aperture blades of my 50 APO do not fully retract into the barrel.  There is still a bit of them showing when you look into the lens.  Is this normal for this lens?

I've tried to take another picture.  The blades are not retracting fully into their housing.  They still stick out a little at f2.  Could be normal, but might not be.

I just mounted the lens so I don't know yet. I've seen a few film photos taken with the APO on Ilford HP5 and they looked good to me.

I've seen some Imacon scanned files using Adox 20 with the APO, and it looked the best image quality I've ever seen from any M camera.

While they are still visible from the front of the lens, they are fully out of the field of view of the imaging chip/film.  Specular highlights will still show as round at f/2, so the blades are not intruding into the field of view.  Otherwise you'd get diffraction spikes.
