tonyniev Posted July 2, 2017 Share #1 Posted July 2, 2017 Advertisement (gone after registration) I use Manfrotto quick relase plate for the tripod, do you use any protector for the camera bottom?I doubt if there are protectors in the market similar to the lcd screen. Any ideas? In my FNH P90 rifle I placed several layers of painters blue masking tape to protect from spent cartridge scrathes. Thanks

There is no equal to Gaffer tape. Buy a roll in your favorite color. It will last forever. S-11640 type is ideal for most of us. Wikipedia describes it well. DigitalHeMan Posted July 2, 2017 Share #5 Posted July 2, 2017 If you want to keep the original base plate nice in case you ever sell the camera, you could just replace it with a RRS base plate. I have one on my M-E with a built in Arca Swiss plate, and the original stays in the cupboard (not that I ever intend to sell it, the Arca Swiss plate was the main reason for me to replace it)
