microview Posted July 3, 2017 Share #4 Posted July 3, 2017 The current silver Summilux is I believe same weight as black (no longer brass basis). Nice pics, especially the last portrait just before the Steinway.
happymac Posted July 3, 2017 Share #5 Posted July 3, 2017 Thanks. Nice article. But I never ever would purchase a Leica lens at Amazon....
ebf Posted July 4, 2017 Share #6 Posted July 4, 2017 The current silver Summilux is I believe same weight as black (no longer brass basis). Nice pics, especially the last portrait just before the Steinway. Is that true? I can’t find anything online - but most vendors now list both versions as having the same weight. If that’s confirmed, I’ll sell my Summilux right now and get the new one. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
colint544 Posted July 4, 2017 Share #7 Posted July 4, 2017 Advertisement (gone after registration) If the silver chrome 50mm Summilux ASPH is now made using aluminium, the older brass ones might become more desirable to some.
