The northern & southern California area Porsche 356 Clubs held their annual joint meeting / car show recently at the Estrella Warbird Aviation Museum in Paso Robles where the old Porsches were displayed among WW!!, Korean war and Viet Nam era warplanes.

I thought my friend's original Speedster in its faded silver matallic paint and the old weather-beaten grey McDonnel 'Phantom' F-4 looked very natural together being roughly the same vintage..........and technology, both from a time when skillful drivers and pilots were completely in charge, and neither car nor plane flew themselves.
