advice with postal delivery in Netherlands

hi

I am not sure if this is the right place to post this question. However, I am at my wits end. I am based in Singapore. I have purchased a Leica lens from eBay and the seller is located in Netherlands. It also seems like he has a camera shop in Amsterdam. When the lens was delivered, the condition does not match the description in the eBay post, e.g. haze.

I contacted him and he agreed that I post it back. The lens was sent out from Singapore on 21 May and arrived at Netherlands custom office on 29 May. Since then, I have contacted him several times checking the status. It seems like the customs office required some documents from him. He claimed that he has already followed up with PostNL and provided them with the necessary documents. I also contacted PostNL directly. However, they could not tell me anything and referred him to contact them via PostNL Facebook or Twitter so that they can advise me after that. I shared this back with him, but he is not willing to do so as he claimed he doesn't have Facebook or Twitter

Can I check if anyone has faced such issues before, especially in Netherlands? Can you advise me what should I do? I have already highlighted this to eBay, and waiting for them to advise me. Appreciate any comments. Thanks.

regards

Jason
